Introduction

She Loves Tech is an international non-profit organisation committed to closing the funding gap for women entrepreneurs, and building an ecosystem for technology, entrepreneurship and innovation that creates opportunities for women. We run the world’s largest startup competition for women and technology, seeking out and accelerating the best entrepreneurs and technology for transformative impact. The She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition (the ""Competition"") is designed to give the world’s most promising women tech entrepreneurs and women impact startups a unique opportunity to showcase their businesses to a global audience of investors and influencers. The annual competition series kicks off with mentorship sessions and pitch rounds globally before culminating in a boot camp and global finals (hosted during the She Loves Tech Global Conference. The competition and conference will gather the best technology brands, leaders, entrepreneurs and investors, providing startups with a wide program of investment, mentorship, and networking opportunities as well as intensive global media exposure. The series is jointly administered by She Loves Tech and its respective Local Organising Partners (hereinafter referred to as the ""Organising Team"")

How to Enter

To enter the She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition, eligible applicants must submit all registrations online, in compliance with the competition’s Terms & Conditions and according to the instructions set forth in the website. Participation in the She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition constitutes the applicant/team’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms & Conditions and decisions of the Organising Team, which are final and binding in all matters related to the She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition. The Organising Team along with a panel of industry experts will review all submitted entries and shortlist candidates who will be invited to pitch at the preliminary rounds of the competition. We are looking at a range of criteria including market opportunity, traction, scalability and growth potential, innovation and creativity, calibre of founder and team, and last but not least, women impact.

Declaration Agreement

In registering for the She Loves Tech, each applicant agrees to: Ensure all submitted projects and associated patents, copyrights and/or trademarks are the original work of the applicant/team and all information are true and accurate at penalty of immediate disqualification; Attend the Competition if selected, make a public presentation of their business plan at the preliminary, semi-final and global final round, and participate/cooperate in events, activities and procedures in relation to the overall program; Share their registration materials to potential investors, mentors and/or partners from the She Loves Tech network; and Follow all of the She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition Terms & Conditions and instructions of the Organiser, and accept the Organiser’s decision. The Organising Team reserves the right to update or modify this Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Please review this periodically, and especially before you submit an application. This Terms & Conditions was last updated on the date indicated below. Your submission of an application after any changes or revisions to this Terms & Conditions shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply to any part may result in immediate disqualification from the She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition.

Intellectual Property

The applicant hereby grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, for the maximum period of validity in each territory, transferable, worldwide license to the Organising Team to use, reproduce (wholly or in part), display (wholly or in part), analyse, adapt, modify, disseminate and translate any and all information submitted by the applicant (including but not limited to logos, contact information and all project materials / fields requested in the registration form) at any time, in any media and for any reason, including without limitation for advertising and promotion of She Loves Tech activities without additional review, compensation, or approval.

Privacy and Confidentiality

The Organising Team will not share the specific contents of your application, other than for the purpose of evaluating your application and introduction to investors, mentors and/or potential partners. When we share your application for such purposes, we will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the parties (whether within or outside of She Loves Tech) agree to treat your application confidentially. We may also use your application, and all information or materials included in your application, for any She Loves Tech-related purpose. This includes, without limitation: Compiling and publishing aggregated statistics regarding technology, companies, founders, investors, etc. Tracking applicants, founders, investments, companies and application trends. Publishing on She Loves Tech open-source database platform for the purposes of investor and mentor matchin. Due to the large number of applications and related materials that we receive and review, and the similarity of much of the information provided in such applications, we cannot accept responsibility for protecting against misuse or disclosure of any general information, knowledge or other materials (including without limitation any information generally known in your industry) included in or provided with your application. Any such general information or knowledge in applications or related materials you submit to the Organising Team may be used or disclosed by us or any person with whom we share your application for any purpose and in any manner.

Liability

  1. Participation in the Competition implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics, limitations and risks of the internet network and the technologies which are linked to it, such as possible system breakdown or dysfunction, security breach, and loss or in diversion of data during the registration and competition period, which may particularly affect the applicant's participation in the Competition. As a consequence, the Organising Team cannot be held responsible, in any case for the damages caused to the applicant because of these accepted characteristics, limitations and risks.

  2. The Organising Team cannot, in any case, be held responsible for any damage caused by the defect or the delay of delivery of the applicant's registration, especially for the refusal to consider the registration because of a late submission, or for any damage caused by an impossibility to connect to the relevant websites or to upload/download correctly any required material, the defect or the delivery time of any e-mail sent during the Competition, or for any damage caused by any hurdle preventing the applicant to attend or participate to whole or part of the Challenge.

  3. The Organising Team cannot be held responsible for the consequences of a disqualification of an applicant and/or a team, due to a violation of the Terms & Conditions, and/or in case of rejection of a registration due to noncompliance with the Terms & Conditions.

  4. The Organising Team cannot be held responsible in case of total or partial modification, suspension, interruption, adjournment or cancellation of whole or part of the Competition for reasons beyond their control. In such case, the Organising Team will inform as soon as possible the applicants by a mention on its official website or by any mean it sees fit.

  5. The Organising Team reserves the right to cancel, shorten, suspend the Competition without prior notice in cases of force majeure. The Organising Team cannot be held responsible for cancellation or for suspension of the Competition and no allowance nor compensation will be due to the Participant.
